Brewers Stay Perfect (Sunday June 1st)
The Northside stayed perfect today as they picked up their fourth straight win today, 7-0 over Georgetown Giants. The Brewers kept their bats hot with 17 hits and improve their record to 4-0. Jason MacLean picked up the win with a 2 hit shutout while fanning 10 Georgetown batters. Northside was led at the plate by Jamie Arsenault ( 2-4, 2RBI) and Darcy Clinton (2-4) . All nine starting batters for Northside recorded a hit in the game. The Brewers next action is this Wednesday as they travel to Peakes to play the Bombers for the second time this season, game time is 6:30pm. Expect starters are Jamie Arsenault for the Brewers and Stephen Birt for the Bombers. Brewers Jump to 3-0(Wednesday May 28th ) The Morell Brewers are 3-0 to start the season after a 17-5 thumping of Stratford last night. The Brewers pounded out 13 hits and got a strong pitching performance from DJ Dunn. The Brewers got down early as Brad Larter launched a three run shot in the first inning to put Stratford up early. The Brewers responded with two of their own in the first, followed by eight in the second and seven more in the third. Tim O'Brien hit a long three run homer in the 4th to close the deal. The game was called after 5 due to the mercy rule. Brewers were led by Darcy Clinton ( 3-3 4RBI's), Brody Connolly (3-3 2RBI's), Brandon McInnis (3-3 3RBI's) and Denver Clinton (2-3 2RBI's). The Brewers next action is Sunday at 2pm as they travel to take on Georgetown. Brewers Start the Season 2-0(Sunday May 25th) The Northside Brewers have gotten off to a great start winning today over the Peakes Bombers and uping their record to a 2-0. Today's win was capped off by a great pitching performance of Jamie Arsenault pitching 7 strong innings. Jamie also had two hits includeing a homerun, while Denver Clinton was 2/3 at the dish. The Brewers other top hitters were Darcy Clinton, Brandon McInnis and Timmy O'Brien. On Thursday the Brewers started their season with a 6-0 win over the Stratford representatives. Jason MacLean picked up the Brewers first win tossing a one hitter, while going 2-3 at the plate and knocking in two runs. Brandon McInnis was also 2/3 while Arsenault, Jed MacEwen and Garret VanDiepen picked up the other hits. The Brewers next action is this Wednesday, May 28th against Stratford Pharmacy. Game time is 8:30pm.
