MacDougall, McCormack to Coach Midget All-Stars; MacIsaac Provincial Juniors

Baseball PEI is pleased to announce that Dale MacDougall from Summerside and Rob McCormack from Richmond will be the main coaches has been selected as coaches for its Provincial 18U/Midget – the Midget All-Stars - for 2017, and David MacIsaac will coach PEI's Provincial Junior team.

All have excellent track records as coaches. MacDougall and McCormack have coached several Peewee and Bantam “AAA” teams throughout the years, as well as Midget teams. Both teamed up to coach the Summerside Bantam “AAA” Chevys in 2016, leading them to Provincial and Atlantic titles, a 3-3 record at the National 15U Championships. As a result of these accomplishments, MacDougall was named the 2016 Baseball PEI Coach of the Year.

MacIsaac has also coached various teams over the years, from Mosquito through Bantam "AAA", the PEI Youth Selects in 2014 and 2015, and the PEI Junior Islanders in the New Brunswick Junior League in 2016. MacIsaac is considered one of the top coaches in the province.

The Midget All-Stars will play at the Baseball Canada National 18U Championships in London, ON, from 17 – 21 August 2017, while the Provincial Juniors will take part in the Baseball Canada National 21U Championships in Gatineau, QC from 17 - 21 August 2017.
