A Very Busy Weekend #3 of "Provincial Season" is Upcoming

This upcoming weekend will be weekend #3 of “Provincial season” here for Baseball PEI, and boy will it be busy!

On 29 - 30 August, the Charlottetown/Sherwood Royals are hosting eight other 13U “AA” teams across Prince Edward Island in Charlottetown for the round-robin portion of the Provincial 13U “AA” Championship in Charlottetown. The top four teams will advance to the “AA” Final Four (semifinals and final) at VIV Field, Summerside on Saturday, 7 September.

From 30 – 31 August, five teams from the Baseball PEI 15U “AA” division will be taking part in the round-robin of the 2019 Baseball PEI Provincial 15U “AA” Championship in Cardigan and Peakes. The top four teams will advance to the “AA” Final Four (semifinals and final) at Legends Field, Summerside on Saturday, 7 September.

From 30 August – 1 September, Capital District is hosting all four 15U “AAA” teams at MacRae Field, Charlottetown, as part of the 2019 Baseball PEI Provincial 15U “AAA” Championships, presented by Atlantic Baseball Academy. The winning team will earn the Tanner Craswell Memorial Trophy and represent PEI at the 2019 Baseball Atlantic 15U “AAA” Championships in Fredericton, NB from 13 – 15 September.

Also from 30 August – 1 September, the Provincial 13U “AAA” Championships will be taking place at VIV Field, Summerside. The host Summerside Chevys will compete with three other 13U “AAA” teams for the right to hoist the Mitch MacLean Memorial Trophy as Provincial Champion. The top two teams will earn the right to attend the 2019 Baseball Canada National Atlantic 13U Championships in Dartmouth, NS from 13 – 15 September.

On 1 – 2 September, all eleven 11U “AA” teams from across PEI will compete in the 2019 Baseball PEI Provincial 11U “AA” Championship round-robin in Kensington and Kinkora. The top four teams will advance to the “AA” Final Four (semifinals and final) at Gordie Arsenault Field, Summerside on Saturday, 7 September.

Finally, on Sunday, 1 September, the “A” Final Four will take place at the Terry Fox Complex, Cornwall. Western, Summerside Day, Summerside Laughlin and Bedeque will be competing for the Provincial 13U “A” Championship, while Cardigan, Northside, Cornwall and Kensington will be vying for the Provincial 15U “A” Championship.
