Thanks to some support provided by the Sport Partnership and Engagement Program (a project of the Sport Participation Bilateral which is jointly funded by the Province of PEI [Department of Health and Wellness] and the Federal Government [Canadian Heritage - Sport Canada]), Baseball PEI is pleased to announce that all costs for any women or girls completing baseball National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) clinics and/or Prince Edward Island Baseball Umpires Asociation (PEIBUA) certification will be covered in 2021. NCCP and PEIBUA clinics will be free for all women and girls.

As such, Baseball PEI will not charge the minor baseball associations for any NCCP clinics completed by women (or, if the minor baseball association does not cover these costs, will not charge the individual), and Baseball PEI will reimburse the PEIBUA for any women or girls completing certification with the PEIBUA (and those costs will not be forwarded to the minor baseball associations).

Baseball PEI is committed to making baseball on Prince Edward Island more inclusive and hopes these initiatives will make it easier for women and girls to pursue coaching and umpiring in baseball on Prince Edward Island.
