2021 Fall Baseball Delayed One Week

09/15/2021, 1:15pm ADT
By Baseball PEI

Due to the current uncertainty surrounding the Covid outbreak in Charlottetown schools – and a couple of age categories are made up of only or mostly unvaccinated children – and the fact that several associations, related to this, are unable to get onto the fields to determine teams, Baseball PEI will delay the start of 2021 fall baseball from this Saturday, 18 September until Saturday, 25 September.

All games originally scheduled for this Saturday will be pushed to Saturday, 25 September, and any games originally scheduled for Saturday, 25 September will be pushed to the following weekend.

Baseball PEI realizes that while some associations are not currently affected by the situation in Charlottetown, teams within the Charlottetown area were scheduled to play teams outside of that area this weekend, and it was felt that, based on the current uncertainty around the Covid situation, it makes sense to push the games back a week (which also gives teams an extra chance to practice and prepare before their games).
