2016 Bedeque Area Minor Baseball Registration

Bedeque Area Minor Baseball Association now has registration dates set for the 2016 Blue Jackets Baseball Season!!

- April 23rd, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Bedeque Area Rec Center
- April 30th, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Bedeque Area Rec Center and the Kinkora Kanata Club
- May 7th, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Kinkora Kanata Club

Registration fees for 2016:
Rally Cap : $85 - Each Additional Child: $50
Mosquito (11U): $135 - Each Additional Child: $85
Peewee (13U): $150 - Each Additional Child: $85
Bantam (15U): $150 - Each Additional Child: $85
Midget(18U): $150
Junior (21U): $160
(Note: No Additional Child Discount for Midget or Junior)

2016 Mid-Isle "AAA" Mustangs Head Coaches named

The Mid-Isle "AAA" Mustangs organizing committee is excited to announce the successful Head Coach applicants for the 2016 Mosquito, Peewee and Bantam Baseball season.

BAMBA would like to Congratulate and Wish the Best of Luck to these coaches on the 2016 season.

Try-out dates and locations will be announced in the coming weeks. Try-outs are open to players registered within Kensington Minor Baseball, Cornwall Minor Baseball and Bedeque Area Minor Baseball...Stay Tuned!

Mid-Isle AAA Coaching Applications

The organizing committee for the Mid-Isle AAA Mustangs Baseball teams are now accepting applications for the Head Coach positions at each the Mosquito (11U), Peewee (13U) and Bantam (15U) levels for the 2016 baseball season. 

The Mustangs are comprised of players from the Kensington, Bedeque Area and Cornwall Minor Baseball Associations, with tryouts beginning in early May.
The successful applicants will be required to obtain Certification through the National Coaching Certification Program that meets the minimum requirements for the applicable AAA age level. Certification must be completed prior to the team taking part in any Provincial Elimination and/or Provincial Championship tournaments.

2019 Provincial 13Us Announce Times for First Four Tryouts

The tryouts for the 2019 Provincial 13U team – representing Baseball PEI at the 2019 Baseball Canada National 13U Championships in Repentigny, QC from 22-25 August – will be beginning at the end of the month.

Led by head coach Bob Doyle, and his staff including Dave Benton, Jason Doyle and Patrick Young, the Provincial 13Us are looking to continue on Baseball PEI’s positive showing at the National 13U Championships, where the Provincial 13Us in 2018 finished in 7th place.

Tryout schedule:

  • Sunday, 31 March from 5:30 pm – 7 pm (Norton-Diamond Indoor Soccer Complex, Stratford)
  • Sunday, 7 April from 5:30 pm – 7 pm (Norton-Diamond Indoor Soccer Complex, Stratford)
  • Monday, 8 April from 6 pm – 7:30 pm (EBA Facility, 85 Maple Hills Avenue, Charlottetown)
  • Sunday, 14 April from 5:30 pm – 7 pm (Norton-Diamond Indoor Soccer Complex, Stratford)

Cost is $60 for the four tryouts. There will be no cuts made until after the fourth tryout.

Baseball PEI is looking for applications for the position of chef-de-mission for our 2019 teams representing Baseball PEI at the following Baseball Canada National Championships. We will require a chef-de-mission at the following National Championships:

  • Baseball Canada Cup (Regina, SK: 7 – 12 August 2019)
  • Baseball Canada National 18U Championships (London, ON: 15 – 19 August 2019)
  • Baseball Canada National 13U Championships (Woodstock, ON: 22 – 26 August 2019)
  • Ray Carter Cup (Baseball Canada National 15U Championships; Oshawa, ON: 22 – 26 August 2019)
  • Baseball Canada National 16U Girls Championships (Bedford, NS: 22 – 26 August 2019)
  • (Two) Baseball Canada National Atlantic 13U Championships (Nova Scotia: 12 – 15 September 2019)

Baseball PEI Has Joined in Partnership with the ABA Blue Wave

Baseball PEI is pleased to announce that it has signed a deal with the newly-formed Atlantic Baseball Academy – the “Blue Wave” – so that the Atlantic Baseball Academy will be the official baseball academy partner of Baseball PEI, effective immediately.

Led by Andrew MacNevin and J.P. Stevenson, the Atlantic Baseball Academy will be based out of the Norton-Diamond Indoor Soccer Complex in Stratford. The Blue Wave will feature an impressive list of instructors on top of MacNevin and Stevenson, including:

  • Joe Puiia
  • Logan Gallant
  • Connor Myers
  • Matt Barlow
  • Jordan Stevenson
  • Jordan Duffy
  • Andrew Macdonald

“Baseball PEI is very excited to partner with the Blue Wave,” says Randy Byrne, Baseball PEI Executive Director.

“Atlantic Baseball Academy’s goal is player development. With the instructors they have and their efforts already to improve baseball on PEI and give back, they are a natural fit with us. Baseball PEI is proud to be in partnership with the Blue Wave.”

“Our goal is to improve players and coaches so that overall, we improve baseball on PEI,” states Andrew MacNevin, Head Instructor at the Atlantic Baseball Academy.

“Baseball PEI has made great strides in improving the game on PEI, so we just wanted to be aligned and partnered with them. It’s terrific to be in partnership with Baseball PEI and we are looking forward to offering lots of clinics and programs for ballplayers across PEI.”
